Workshop on modern trends in quantum optics and quantum information Prague, Czech Republic, May 1-4, 2008

This workshop will focuse on the latest development of quantum optics and quantum information. Related questions involving interaction of atoms with light promising novel approaches for communicatuion will be presented. The topics discussed during the workshop shall include, but are not restricted to, the experimental as well as theoretical aspects of continuous-variable quantum key distribution protocols, the generation of squeezed and non-Gaussian entangled states of light, the purification of continuous-variable entanglement, the interaction of light with atomic ensembles, the design of atomic quantum memories for light and quantum networks for quantum information processing.
