This day, 18th December 2017, is the exact day when, 10 years ago, the original CASTOR Tokamak was transferred from the Nuclear Physics Institute of the Czech Academy of Sciences to its new home at Břehová Street. Since then the Tokamak team has participated in 15 conferences and published 8 papers in impacted journals and supervised 3 master theses and 8 bachelor projects. Housed now next to the former Jewish district of Prague, the Tokamak is now called GOLEM after the animated anthropomorphic being from Jewish folklore.

The device is operated by dr. Vojtěch Svoboda.
