The Dean´s Directive No. 4-2021 for Admission Procedures to the Bachelor Programmes at the Faculty of Nuclear Sciences and Physical Engineering of the Czech Technical University in Prague for the Academic Year 2022 – 2023.

This Directive amend the Notification of Admission Procedures to the Bachelor Programmes of the Faculty of Nuclear Sciences and Physical Engineering of the Czech Technical University in Prague (referred to as FNSPE of the CTU) for the Academic Year 2022 – 2023 (referred to as Notification) and provide the rules for their implementation for the programmes offered in English.

I. Basic information on the Bachelor Programmes

The Bachelor Programmes of the FNSP of the CTU are offered solely in the full-time form and according to the Statute of the CTU they are subject to the tuition fee. The branches offered are as follows:

When submitting the application, the applicant may choose only one of the branches listed above. However, on enrolment in the programme, it may be changed. Later, in the course of study, transfer from one branch to another is possible on application, the student being at the same time aware that the compulsory core courses of the respective curricula and transfer rules may differ.

II. Submitting the application

  1. For a Bachelor Programme offered by the FNSP of the CTU for the Academic Year 2022 – 2023, only one application form completed in its entirety may be submitted on-line via an electronic application form (see part II-2 below) by June 30, 2022.
  2. The on-line application includes:
    1. An electronic application form available at http://prihlaska.cvut.cz completed in its entirety.
    2. Payment of a fee of 850 CZK covering costs related to the admission procedure. Payment can be made by transfer, money order, or by card within the electronic form application at http://prihlaska.cvut.cz. Details for payment within the Czech Republic are as follows:

    3. Enclosure of further documents related to the admission procedure (if available at the time of application), as specified by the conditions of the admission procedure:
      i.    A certified copy of school-leaving examination; or, if necessary, proof of equal standard or validation of the secondary education achieved in a foreign country; or an examination certificate proving competence in the language of instruction at a level not below B2.
      No health certificate is required.
    4. Documents listed under II-2.c. (see above) are to be sent by registered post or delivered in person to the following address:

  3. Applicants are requested to prove their English language competence at a minimum level of SERR B2 either

    a. by submitting a proof of having taken and passed the whole secondary education programme in English, or

    b. by submitting one of the following English language certificates:

    Cambridge English Language Certificate - level B2 (e.g. FCE)
    IELTS – degree 5.5 or higher
    TOEFL – level B2
    City & Guilds International ESOL – level B2
    telc English B2

    Student´s English language competence may be proven by submitting even some other certificate. The decision of acceptance or non-acceptance of this certificate is up to the Department of Humanities and Languages.

    c. Unless the student is able to prove their competence by submitting any of the documents under a) and b) above, or, in case the certificate submitted is not recognized (see b) above), the student shall take an entrance examination in English administered by the Department of Humanities and Languages.

  4. The bank account number for payment of admission procedure fee from abroad is: Swift Code: KOMBCZPP – IBAN: CZ1501000000195373100277 - type of payment “OUR“ or such that all charges are covered by the payer.
  5. In the Academic Year 2022 – 2023, no more than one concurrent application for admission to a Bachelor Programme will be accepted in one application procedure. Should more than one concurrent application fee have been paid, it shall not be reimbursed.
  6. Upon receipt of the documents according to part II.-2.a.-b. above and evidence of payment of costs related to the admission procedure, the application is duly accepted and the application procedure may start.
  7. Documents relevant to the admission procedure and not available at the time the application may be submitted subsequently (see II.-2.c. above, as appropriate). Subsequent submission is part of the verification required for the admission procedure. The deadline is August 15, 2022.

III. Entrance examination

The entrance examination is waived.

All applicants will be electronically notified of the Dean´s Admission Guarantee Letter confirming the entrance examination waiver and informing them about the Dean´s admission decision on the verification of the remaining documents (as given in the Notification and under II-2.c. above)

V. Registration for a degree programme and its beginning

  1. Regular enrolment days for the Bachelor Programmes at the FNSPE of the CTU are August 24 – 26, 2022. The student shall appear in person and shall present a valid identity document and their Letter of Admission.

VI. Dates
