INVITATION: Prof. Stegmann's lectures about the future of astrophysics in Central Europe
We would like to cordially invite you to the two lectures by prof. Christian Stegmann, the DESY Director of Astroparticle Physics. He will speak about current status and future plans of two projects: the concept of the German Center of Astrophysics, and the next-generation underground detector of gravitational waves – the so-called Einstein Telescope. The Faculty of Nuclear Science and Physical Engineering organised the first Quantum Day with the IBM Czech Republic.
On Wednesday, 28th June, representatives of leading academic institutions, government administration and businesses gathered at FNSPE CTU to share their experiences and plans involving quantum technologies. The conference, organised by Professor Igor Jex, FNSPE, facilitated discussions on practical applications of quantum technologies in industry, cybersecurity and defence, as well as on developing the national quantum ecosystem.
Winners of the 2023 Becquerel Prize in Nuclear Sciences
On Thursday, June 22, 2023, the Embassy of France in the Czech Republic presented scientific prizes in the Buquoy Palace. Jana Matoušková from the Department of Nuclear Reactors (1st place) and Kateřina Děcká from the Department of Nuclear Chemistry (2nd place) scored in the Nuclear Sciences Research – Henri Becquerel Award category. Congratulations.
