Construction of the Second Fission Reactor at the FNSPE Approved
At the beginning of November, the State Office for Nuclear Safety (SÚJB) issued a permit for the location of the VR-2 subcritical reactor to the Faculty of Nuclear Sciences and Physical Engineering of the Czech Technical University in Prague (FNSPE). Preparations are proceeding according to schedule, and the new reactor should be launched in 2022.
SÚJB (SONS) gave permission to site critical assembly VR-2

Obligation to wear a face mask in all public areas of the faculty in connection with the development of COVID-19
Due to the development of the situation with COVID-19 in the Czech Republic and at the FNSPE, the Dean of the FNSPE prof. Ing. Igor Jex, DrSc. issued order that it is mandatory to wear face masks in all public areas of the faculty. This Regulation shall apply until further notice. Employees are also encouraged to take advantage of the opportunity to work from home (if possilble).
