Here you will find a list of technical facilities that the faculty offers in its buildings. This list will be continuously updated or expanded with more detailed information. All buildings have 24/7 card access for staff, Břehová building has 24/7 card access for staff and students. For visits outside of normal opening hours, visitors must sign in at the concierge desk (applies to Prague).
Břehová:
- Food and beverage vending machines are located in the hallway behind the Study Department
- B-117 - public kitchen - will be opened in the coming weeks. You will be able to heat your food, boil water, sit at the tables and eat your lunch, or make instant coffee or tea. If you find the door closed, don't be afraid to take the handle. You don't have to knock, the room is soundproofed and you can't hear the answer. Please keep it tidy.
- Microwave - for now, it is located on the ground floor next to the vending machines. Eventually, it will be moved to B-117.
- The bike racks are in the basement on the walls next to the stairs.
- Library - you will find it across from the Atrium (take the staircase on the right from the ground floor - the entrance is usually on a card). You can get scripts relevant to Jaderka here, but you can also have books from the Central Library sent here.
- Atrium - from the ground floor, take the staircase to the left. Entrance is by card or free, you just have to work for the door (thanks to the air conditioning there is a slight vacuum in the room). You'll find a study and relaxation area, pool table (cues are in the Student Union), darts, whiteboard, and board games. The Atrium is now open for study matters without restrictions on weekends and holidays.
- Baby Changing Counter - A flip-up changing counter has been installed in the women's restroom downstairs. You will need to borrow a key from the concierge. Dads can also use it (ladies will excuse me).
Trojanova:
- Study rooms - you can find 2 study rooms here
- T-214 has a capacity of about 100 people and has a sliding table. It can be found at the very end of the corridor with the classrooms on the second floor.
- The second is located on the top floor in the so-called tower above the Department of Solid State Engineering. You can get there by taking the back stairs next to the study room and through doors 427-428. The room is located at the end of the hallway.
- Microwave - you can find it by T-214
- Bike racks - are located in the faculty courtyard. If you want to leave your bike here and don't know which way to go, ask the concierge for help.
Děčín:
- The canteen and drinks machines are located on the ground floor next to the porter's lodge.
- The buffet on the ground floor is open from 7 a.m. to 2.30 p.m. The menu can be found on the website cvutdecin.cz/obcerstveni.
- There are two bike racks - outside the main entrance and inside the school lobby under the stairs.
- Library - located on the first floor, corridor C, room 238, opening hours and further details at cvutdecin.cz/library.
- There are two study rooms in the building:
- on the ground floor near the lecture halls, with basic equipment, capacity of 12 seats.
- on the first floor, corridor C, m. no. 237, next to the library. Capacity 10 seats, equipped with a white mag. board, suitable for consultations and substitute teaching.
- Kitchenette - currently under construction - on the ground floor, entrance from the lobby in front of the lecture rooms. Accessible for students, equipped with microwave and fridge.
- The gym is in the basement of the building, a private entity. CTU employees have a 50% discount on admission, with an employee ID card.
