Instructions for Incoming/international students at the Faculty of Nuclear Science and Physical Engineering (FNSPE)

Dear international students within the framework of the Erasmus, Erasmus Mundus, and non-European exchange programmes,

Welcome at the Faculty of Nuclear Sciences and Physical Engineering (FNSPE).

In addition to the general instructions for incoming international students, and after you have been admitted as an Erasmus or exchange student at CTU in Prague, please find below more specific instructions about your studies in courses offered by FNSPE, especially when you first arrive to study at CTU:

  1. The list of all courses taught in English language at FNSPE provides a list of courses at FNSPE that you can take.

  2. Each course in your Learning Agreement that is taught at FNSPE is sent by the FNSPE coordinator to the lecturer responsible for delivering this course, together with your Transcript of Records. The lecturer will approve or reject your application to take the course after checking whether you have the prerequisites for the course. You will be informed about the result of this procedure before the beginning of your studies at CTU.

  3. At the beginning of your studies at CTU, you will be able to enrol in the KOS information system for all your approved FNSPE courses.

  4. After you have enrolled for a course delivered by FNSPE, please see the list of contacts to lecturers. Contact the lecturer responsible for the course by e-mail, or by phone, or in person. It is important to make a personal agreement with the lecturer about when and where you will visit him/her, and about how the course will be delivered during the semester. In this way, you will establish your personal study schedule.

    Please note: the official FNSPE schedule is effective for only for courses taught in Czech language.

  5. If you need to add a new course after the beginning of your studies in Prague, you must contact the lecturer responsible for this course and ask him/her for approval. When you receive approval from the lecturer, ask him to confirm his/her approval by sending an e-mail to the This email address is being protected from spambots.
