Admission to the Master Continuation Study Programme“ Application of Natural Sciences“ is governed by Act No. 111/1998 Coll. on Higher Education and on Changes and Amendments of other Acts, as amended, and by the Entrance Procedure Statute of the CTU (Attach. No. 2 to the CTU Statute), by the Conditions of Study at CTU for Foreigners (Attach. No. 3 to the CTU Statute), by the Statute of the FNSPE of the CTU in Prague, by this document and the Dean’s Directive for Admission Procedure to the Master Continuation Study Programme No. 5-2015 (hereafter referred to as the Dean´s Directive).
Conditions for admission to the Master Continuation Study Programme are as follows:
- Submission of only one completed and signed application either in an electronic version addressed to http://prihlaska.cvut.cz or as a hard-copy sent via registered post or delivered in person no later than 31st March 2016 to the following address:
- FJFI ČVUT in Prague, studijní oddělení, Břehová 7, 115 19 Praha 1
- Payment of admission administration fee amounting to 550 CZK related to the admission procedure costs. The details of payment and proof of payment are specified by the Dean´s Directive.
- Completion of secondary or secondary technical education (by having passed a secondary school leaving examination) and graduation from a Bachelor or Master Study Programme in an equivalent or similar branch.
- Submission of the secondary school leaving certificate issued by a school based in the Czech Republic or Slovak Republic and the Bachelor Course or Master Course Diploma, as appropriate, earned at and issued by an institution of higher education, accredited in the Czech Republic or Slovak Republic in a manner specified by the Dean´s Directive (this does not apply to the Bachelor graduates from the FNSPE of the CTU in Prague in the Application of Natural Sciences Programme).
- Submission of a proof (as specified in the Dean´s Directive), that education obtained in a foreign country is of equal standard or has been validated in the Czech Republic, if the school leaving examination was administered, or the Bachelor or Master Degree, as appropriate, was obtained in a foreign country. This does not apply to FNSPE graduates in the Application of Natural Sciences Programme.
- Competence in Czech or Slovak as evidenced by the secondary school leaving examination or by a certified examination “Czech language for foreign students“ at a level no less B2. Submission for examination certificates is specified by the Dean´s Directive.
- Success in entrance examinations administered by the Faculty or exemption by the Dean. The date and form of entrance examinations are specified by the Dean´s Directive.
- In the past the applicant did not register more than once for the Master Continuation Study Programme in the Application of Natural Sciences Programme.
It is the Dean´s right to exempt from the entrance examination applicants who have graduated in an equivalent Bachelor programme from the FNSPE of the CTU in Prague or in a programme of an equal standard from some other institution of higher education. The details are specified in the Dean´s Directive.
Verification date of the above requirements, including submission of all necessary documents, is 30th June 2016. The decision as to admission will be issued within 30 days. Applicants who failed to meet the requirements and conditions for admission procedure in due time can use a deferred and contingency date.
Decision as to an appeal for review of results will be issued within 30 days of the receipt of the appeal.
The applicant has the right to inspect all documents pertinent to the decision on their admission in person during the office hours at Department of Student Affairs but no later than the next working day, if the applicant is required to take an entrance examination.
Admission procedure to the Master Continuation Study Programme terminates on the day the decision as to admission or rejection of all applicants for the programme has been made.
If required, the Dean has the right to announce a deferred or contingency date for the admission procedure.
