On Wednesday, November 2, at 8:30 a.m., the SPARTE School: Scintillating Nanostructures & Aerogels lecture series starts in the Atrium at Břehová Street. The event is also for students of our faculty from KJCH, KDAIZ, KF or KFE. FNSPE students have free admission.

Bc. Jakub Hrubý received the first prize in category flash talk at the international conference 24th Heart of Europe bio-Crystallography meeting, Dolní Vltavice, 22. - 24. 9. 2022, with his presentation "Effects of the Zn2+ to Cd2+ Exchange on the Structure and Activity of S1 Nuclease"
Faculty hosts EU conference on the use of nuclear energy for hydrogen production
The conference Nuclear in the Production of Hydrogen for the Clean Energy Transition aims to present the current situation in this field in Europe and the USA. It is organised by the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Czech Republic, the Faculty of Nuclear Sciences and Physical Engineering of the Czech Technical University in Prague (FNSPE) and the Czech Hydrogen Technology Platform as part of the Czech Presidency of the Council of the European Union on Tuesday October 11, 2022 at 15:00.
Night of Scientists on September 30, 2022, come to us!!
On Friday, September 30, 2022, the Night of Scientists will take place across the country - the Faculty of Nuclear Sciences and Physical Engineering is also preparing for it, both in Prague and in Děčín. It starts at 17:00 and the program will last until 23:00. Not only will you learn a lot of things, but you will also be able to try things out for yourself. Part of the progeram is in English too!
Preparatory Week Info
Faculty informs students that the Preparatory Week 00PT is (for students in English study programmes) replaced by the Orientation Week organized by the Rectorate of Czech Technical University in Prague (RCTU).

A note: Preparatory Week 00PT is a compulsory course for all study programmes at FNSPE.
Prof. Laura Fabbietti will show the public how to cook a neutron star
What does a neutron star consist of? No one knows exactly yet, but particle physicists are working to find out. In a public lecture, Laura Fabbietti, professor of nuclear physics at the Technical University of Munich (TUM), will shed light on this endeavour.
